In 2006 the school is celebrating its 75th anniversary.
In March 75 years of quality teaching were celebrated with an open day during which student, teachers and visitors went back in time and relived school days of 75 years ago. Some of the first students in the school spoke to the children of their experiences back in the 'olden days'. Many children and teachers were dressed for the occasion.
In the library students and visitors searched through the hundreds of old photographs of past students and events.
The next day hundreds of visitors came back to school for a barbeque lunch , a chance to look through their old school and to catch up with friends and colleagues from yesteryear. In the evening a celebratory dinner was held at the Dubbo RSL club, hosting over 150 people. Speakers entertained the gathering with tales from the past.
Visitors came from as far away as America to join the celebrations.
